Who is Dr. Gail Barouh, Phd. ?

After starting the LIAAC organization in 1986, Gail Barouh, Ph.D., held the position of President and CEO till June 2017. LIAAC is the biggest HIV/AIDS organization on Long Island, NY. Since its start, LIAAC has broadened its professional services to various other social troubles such as drug abuse and other long-standing ailments that excessively have an effect on many racial, ethnic and low income level people. LIAAC is also the sole mobile outreach testing service association on Long Island.

In 1998, Dr. Barouh established and eventually became CEO of LINCS, a non-profit dedicated to offering anti-bullying, anti-discrimination and alcohol/substance misuse programs. LINCS controls a 30,000 sq. ft. property that is company headquarters to various other non-profit service organizations including LIAAC.

Dr. Barouh is a professional in aid and grief organizations for men, women and family members who have dealt with the loss of a loved one as well as those close to the sufferer. Gail has been a long-lasting militant in the LGBTQ community supporting marriage equality and anti-discrimination legislations.
